They call it a rainy day fund, the money we set aside for a rainy day. Financial planners, advisers and all the people that are advising us on our money are always telling us that we need to put aside some money for the rainy days. The rainy days are the days when the car breaks down, the heating system stops working, or the recession hits you personally.
This is something that I experienced this year; all of these things have hit us, my family. It’s at this time I am so glad to have a fund for the rainy days. It is amazing how often these things happen in a group. No time to recoup in between.
When these series of incidents started to happen I was very fortunate to have started my rainy day fund some time ago. It started when I got a new relationship with money (see my previous blog “Magic of Money”). I got rid of the nasty Money monster and replaced him with a loving and caring Money honey. A Money that I wanted to have around me. It took some time to build it, but the rainy day fund is still here to take care of my family and me.
The relationship with Money is like all other relationships. To make them work one has to make some effort and of course first and foremost want to be in this relationship
If we do not want to be in the relationship and constantly try to run away from it, it is going to be dysfunctional. With a person we can walk away, but with Money on the other hand things are different. We are going to have Money in our life for better or worse. That is why I love my new relationship with my Money honey.
It is with this relationship that I was able to attract a rainy day fund that is taking care of my family during all of these rainy days we are experiencing. Life is so much more fun when we have money that we like with us and it will lead to a Life of Abundance.
Love and peace,
ElinAnna
