I always feel so inspired by watching fireworks. They seem to clear the air and release and renew energy all in a wonderful extravaganza of celebration.

I am telling myself that everything is right in the world right now. I am at peace and there is harmony in my home. I have faith in my inner guidance and know that it will not steer me wrong.

Another great book is "Why Women Earn Less" by Mikelann R. Valterra. In it she also describes how to ask for a raise and how to negotiate.

I love this post, it is very powerful in turning around that myth that we must be saved. We must reframe our thoughts. Indeed, we should be our own knights. Even the strongest women I know succomb to this myth that a man will make everything alright for them. It's almost in the dna, it is so inherent in us. It is time we started to take care of ourselves. As pointed out in a previous response, I don't think it is that men hold us back, as women, I think we hold ourselves back. We are our own worst enemies sometimes, and particularly when we have relationships with men. This is our Achilles heel. Let's start being our own knights in shining armour!

Janet, thank you for the comment.
The underearner doesn't feel good about her/his inner self and in many cases that manifests itself on the outside. You can try to fix the outside, but as you say that can cost a lot of money, and it will have limited results until you fix the inside. By working on your inner self's relationship with money you will gain confidence and self esteem, which will shine through to the outside.

Love and peace,
ElinAnna
